Skin To Canvas, March 1 - April 30th!

We are presently assembling an art show for tattoo artists. We are looking for two pieces to consider from each contributing artist to hang in our group show this March 1 - April 30th. One of our missions at Spirit Gallery is to explore the parallels between fine art and body art. Tattoo artists create some of the most fantastic art in the world, and we want to put it all in one space at the same time.
If you would like to participate, we'll need to see the two pieces you would like to submit. We can accept paintings, drawings, photographs, and a limited amount of sculptures. Please submit three dimensional submissions with dimensions included. Your entries can be submitted in person, via email in jpg format, or via a link to your website. We will let you know which pieces will be accepted after reviewing your submissions.
Once accepted into the show, we'll need your artwork to arrive for hanging between February 22 and 27th. You may drop off your artwork in person between 11:30am and 8pm Monday through Saturday that week. You may also choose to mail your pieces to the gallery to arrive before February 27th. If you prefer to mail in your submissions, please email us through the website to get our preferred mailing address, and let us know what you are planning!
The opening reception will be held on Friday March 5th from 5-8pm. During the reception, a few round-robin art projects will be going on for artists to join in on. We will have a raffle going to win these collaborative pojects, with the proceeds going to our local Red Cross. Afterwards, there will be a slammin' party at Hot Rod's in downtown New London where we can all unwind after the gallery closes.
